The Protagonists: Emanuel Faranc

Emanuel Faranc, is an out of work circus lion tamer. He has travelled and worked in cicuses across Europe, until a tragic accident in which his star lion ran amok, injuring members of the audiance before being fatally shot. After this Sudden Shock, and being fired and abandoned from the circus, Emanuel has been reduced to the status of a Hobo, searching Europe for the twin brother of that once majestic lion. His assistant and one true love stayed with the circus as it moved on to it's next destination.

It did not help matters when he told the circus owners, that before the attack, the lion had spoken to him; warning him of coming danger. Perhaps he can find more answers if he can find the lion's sibling. For many reasons, Emanuel is now a wanderer.

The Protagonists: Roland Drew

Roland Drew, Actor and leading man who's tired of the fakes smiles and fake stories of the Hollywood scene and wants a bit of real life Adventure.

He comes from a background in athletics and has always played action man roles, doing his own stunts, stage-fighting and fancying himself the hero type for real. He has an inclination to direct some films of his own, hopefully based on the Amazing True Adventures of Roland Drew

The Protagonists: Hal Apenyo

Hal is an English Author in his 40's. Average height, average build showing signs of a sedentiary lifestyle, slightly bookish , has a touch of the aristocrat about him. He wears clothes that are of high quality but are long past their best.

Hal has been suffering from chronic writer's block and is heading for Romania, specifically, the Transylvanian region - in the hopes of capturing the true feeling of the area before heading back to England to write some proper rip-off fiction. He is in search of inspiration.

Hal is being played by Rab.

The Protagonists: Professor Richard Pimms

Professor Richard Pimms is an English Parapsychologist. An expert on Russia and the developing study of alternate sciences. His wife was murdered several years ago, but Pimms is still driven in search of Revenge against those he holds responsible - a cult of sorts, following in the mystical footsteps of the mad monk - Gregori Rasputin.

The Protagonists : Kurt Steinhauer

Karl Steinhauer, age 35. Served in German army, WW1. Originally on eastern front, then after Russia's defeat transferred to the west in time for the unsuccessful final German offensive. Joined the Berlin police during the chaos of the post war period. Subsequently became Kriminalpolizei (Kripo) detective. Left police after falling out with superiors, probably something to do with increasing Nazi influence in the department and/or failure of police to investigate crimes committed by Nazis.

Now works for himself as a Private Investigator, often finding out things other people would rather he didn't.

Why is he on a train in the middle of Europe? Either on a case or Berlin has got a bit hot for him. Possibly he's annoyed too many of the wrong people.
